Project Description

Spicy Chicken Yakitori

Serving portion for 3-5 people

Items:

  • 1 pound chicken breast or boneless chicken thigh (base upon preference) cut into 3-4 inch strips in length
  • roasted sesame seeds (optional)
  • bamboo skewers sticks

Ingredients:

  • oyster sauce
  • minced garlic
  • hoison sauce
  • Jeow Bong Spicy Paste

Preparation:

*For best cooking results, we recommend a Yakitori Grill with bincho Tan coal or hardwood lump coal.

Cut 1 pound of chicken breast or chicken thigh strips into 4 inch length by 2 inch wide.

Next, in a mixing container or bowl with the chicken add 1 tablespoon of hoison sauce, 1 table spoon of oyster sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of  Jeow Bong Spicy Paste. Incorporate into mixture and let it marinade for 1 hour minimum.

Next, skewer the chicken meat onto the bamboo sticks (careful don’t poke yourself) and place it onto a platter one by one.

Start your yakitori grill and let the coals burn to a red hot until giving off an even burn.

Place and line up your Yakitori onto the grill and slowly watch over them rotating each until cooked.

Enjoy!
